Medic Mobile Bitcoin Campaign
We Supported Nepal Rebuilding Efforts
Bringing Mobile Tech to Healthcare in Nepal!
Last Update November 4, 2015
THANK YOU to all who supported our campaign for Medic Mobile!
We are happy to report that we raised 14.841954 BTC or $6,500 USD to supply 650 mobile phones to health workers in the Dhading District of Nepal to bridge the gap between rural village health workers and local health facilities.
The phones will assist health workers in the new Antenatal Program, implemented as part of earthquake rebuild and efforts to strengthen the health system.
Just $10 supplies a health worker with a mobile phone and dramatically improves healthcare for 50+ individuals in remote areas of Nepal.
After two devastating earthquakes in Nepal this summer, Medic Mobile’s team was unharmed and immediately ready to assist. Among many notable efforts, they have a new Antenatal program in the Dhading district to help strengthen health systems after the quakes.
“We are so grateful for your support – you have been an amazing champion for our mission, and your community is furthering our impact with this generous donation.”
– Josh Nesbit, Founder and CEO Medic Mobile

A message for the Bitcoin community from their staff following the first quake:
“The Medic Mobile team is actively exploring how we can help with local, coordinated relief efforts after the earthquake that devastated Kathmandu on Saturday, April 25th. Our third largest office is based there and very thankfully all of our teammates are safe. Now we’re focused on how to best help. The Bitcoin community has already been so supportive of our efforts in the past and we’d be grateful for that support again. Every donation will go directly to our Nepal office and help as we deploy the right technology to help. Thank you from our whole team.”
